Our first full day in Seattle consisted of breakfast at a local eatery near our hotel. While we were there we looked up some things to do. Our first stop was the Museum of Illusions. There were lots of very cool exhibits. The second and much longer stop was at the Museum of Flight. Pictures from both are included below. One of the planes is the actual Air Force 1 used by Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon. Note the fake temperature switch which allowed the President to think he could adjust the cabin temperature. Yet another stop was the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture.
Today we took a tour of T-Mobile park, home of the Seattle Mariners, followed by a game between Seattle and the Baltimore Orioles. During the tour we had a chance to watch batting practice, and Amanda got a ball. She now has only 4 stadiums to visit to complete all 30 MLB teams. Amanda also gets credit for some of the pictures of Seattle and the stadium.
We visited the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation before heading to the airport to fly home and end our trip. Unfortunately, I have no pictures from from the foundation visit.
